说来话长，OpenUAP的含义是Open Uniform Application Platform,开放式统一应用平台。
1）何谓开放？
因为她是个开源应用平台，目的在于让有能力的开发者贡献自己的应用插件，而用户也可以免费使用这些插件。这样能形成一个丰富的应用平台。
2）如何统一？
当然没有任何一个东西可以实现大一统，包治百病，这个平台的核心在于其插件框架，在此之上整合了Spring，Hibernate，FreeMarker&Velocity以及一些使用这些框架的经验。只能说提供了一个类似于Eclipse的开放平台，没那么野心，但绝对有很多潜力可挖。
3）什么平台？
平台当然不是简单的一个开发框架，而是一个以开发框架为基础的应用生态链。

而OpenUAP CMS是这个平台上的一个CMS（内容管理系统）产品，虽然算不上最好的Java CMS，但是我还是相信其潜力的，只要有更多的有能力的开发者愿意共同建设好这个平台。

这个平台之上还有BBS，Blog以及通行证等产品，CMS只是我们用来抛砖引玉，希望有兴趣的开发者参与进来，共同构建好这个平台。

开发者的要求不高，只要你能做出贡献，有份责任心与必要的能力！

对了，这个项目目前处在面向大众开源前准备工作，所以先在这里招募有意之士，SVN以及项目其它信息将暂不在这里放出，暂只提供给开发团队，等准备好了，将向所有人开放。

感谢大家的支持，时过境迁，本来这个想法已经筹划了很久，就是因为等得太久，浪费了很多时间，希望这回能有个好的表现。

现在微核+插件的结构越来越流行了，有前途，支持一下。但是换个角度想一下，如果把OpenUAP看做是一个构建在SSH和一些常用工具集之上的另一个容器的话，那么它能够给应用开发者带来多少优于其它类似容器的东西呢（比如Jboss Seam）？今后的发展方向又如何确定呢？

由于对 Seam我没有深入的用过，我简单的看了一下，Seam并没有提供插件机制 ，OpenUAP的核心在于插件机制，而且并没有限定在SSH之上，我们现在也根本没采用Struts，论坛等应用也没有使用Hibernate，而是自己的一套ORM。可以说支持SSH只是OpenUAP的插件核心之上的一个实例而已，甚至我们可以采用最纯粹的Servlet+JDBC，而兼容目前应用较广的SSH，只是为了减少开发者使用的难度。毕竟现在Java Web应用中SSH占据了很大的范围。

我也比较过OSGi，在应用中要想使用OSGi就必须在容器底层提供支持，Spring Dynamic相比就是一个更改容器底层的实例。而我们的OpenUAP主要优点就是不需要更改容器底层，完全兼容与现在的容器，当然有一个限制就是不能“正常的”采用JSP，当然JSP也不是Web应用中必须的。而且对于插件的定义与封装完全是面向Web的一套标准，包括如何处理插件的配置，如何处理插件的模板，如何处理插件的Web资源（html,js,css,images）等。

此外，插件之间的Bean定位服务（类似于JNDI服务），插件之间的事件传递机制服务，都是采用插件开发不得不面对的问题。OpenUAP在这些方面做出了一定的实用方案。
