如同你所说的,The web server provide the authentication mechanism and the web container and ejb container provide the authorization(either programatic or descriptive) service.

这些service, 可以是基于JAAS的。

另外，如果要使client代码不绑定具体的实现，就可以用JASS, 这样client不需关心具体的实现，比如是LDAP还是其他
