applet签名期限，高手指点，急！

我制作了一个需要访问其他电脑上数据库的applet，签名的时候发现签名的有效期限是6个月，而到固定的客户端导入公共钥匙的时候，期限更少了，只有2个月。我做的是一个需要长期运行的网站，不可能6个月就去更新一次服务器端applet，2个月去更新固定的客户端。
请问有没有办法将签名的期限延长至N年？

normally, you shouldn't go beyond 365 days, for security purpose. It's just the regular maintanence for updating certs. Make sure your boss knows this, otherwise you may get blamed when anything goes wrong.
