If you are using jsse(optional for jdk1.3, core for jdk1.4), do this:
1. either run with this option -Djava.protocol.handler.pkgs=com.sun.net.ssl.internal.www.protocol or set properties for this. 2. In your code,
Security.addProvider(new com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider());
then you can use https in your code, like URL class.
A good source is java.sun.com, do a search on https(use advanced search, don't use default). Another source would be jsse. (jsse has 3 jars that have to be in your classpath).
