如何理解这个词?

比如
1. In JTA
The transaction branch may have been heuristically completed

2.Using entity beans appropriately is a question of design heuristics.

can't type chinese at work. sux.

according to dictionary, heuristic kind of means "trial and error", like how you solve a puzzle, you try different ways till you find a solution.

So in the JTA example, author is saying that transaction branch is done in a trial and error fashion, so he implies the quality might be questionable.

And in 2nd case, for entity beans, use whatever design that works the best for you. People may come up with different designs to achieve same objective.
