Non-repudiation: best understood as making sure after-the-fact that persons who accessing resources they shouldn't have can't say "nope, wasn't me." This means that a third-party can, by looking at a transaction record, attest to the identity of a person. Or even better, the challenger can independently produce the evidence of a personality match. Regardless, if the test comes out negative, an "impersonation" occurred.
