What am I doing different than others, well, during my load tests I am not using keep alive connections to achieve true round robin. I'm doing this by setting method.setHttp11(false) in the Http client. TIA

In software terminology, round robin is one of the simplest scheduling algorithm. The scheduler has a pool of resources, upon request from the client, the scheduler simply return the next available resource. So you can consider the resource pool as a circular list, the scheduler grab next one from the list to serve next incoming request, and the order will never change.

For example, if a round robin load balancer is used for load-balance 10 webservers, if last request was served by server #6, then next request will goto server #7. when server #10 is serving last request, then server #1 will serve next request. Other smarter scheduler will choose least loaded server for next request, but round robin algorithm is the simplest to implement.
