"Icing on the cake" is not really the cake, but extra icing is nice, right? -- unless you're on dietWink
It's close to 锦上添花, but the one doesn't mean to 添花.

"icing on the cake". Icing is that really sweet creamy stuff on top of the birthday cake, or other bakery food.

so "icing on the cake" means something extra that make it even better.
