Stakeholders这个词在这本书里是什么意思？
它在一个项目中担任什么角色？

如下面这段：

Perhaps it seems obvious to stress providing observable user value, but the software
industry is littered with failed projects that did not deliver what people
really needed. The feature and function list approach to capturing requirements
can contribute to that negative outcome because it does not encourage the stakeholders to consider the requirements in a larger context of using the system in a
scenario to achieve some observable result of value, or some goal. In contrast,
use cases place features and functions in a goal-oriented context. Hence the
chapter title.

stakeholder = 管事的人, like developers in this case because they develop the software(developers + project managers + all related folks, and thus just a shortcut)

项目管理中，翻译为“干系人”，就是所有跟项目有关的人。
项目干系人包括：
1。项目小组成员；
2。项目的客户；
3。项目的用户（客户和用户有时不是一体的）；
4。项目的上司；

等等，还可以包括其他社会上可能跟项目有关的人。

但是并不是所有干系人都需要在项目中加以考虑的。

Stakeholder在经济管理的范畴中是相对与Stockholder(股东)更为宽泛的一个概念。传统的西方社会认为，一个公司需只要对其Stockholder负责就可以了。但是随着环保等方面问题的出现，西方逐渐出现的一个公司不但应该对其Stockholder负责，还要对其Stakeholder负责的理论。

Stakeholder在经济的书里都翻译成为"利益相关者“，在UML的很多中文书中都翻译成”涉众“，个人感觉"利益相关者“更贴切一些。

Stakeholder: client, customer of the project, usually the one pays the cost of the development, and always the one who bears the ultimate reward and risk associated with the project.

Stakeholder are business people, who defines the business problem, describe what they want, and hand off the requirement to IT development department or consulting company for implementation.
