This is pretty good.

I just ordered a screen protector from amazon, $10 for 3, will try it later.

I bought a few software, annotate pdf, geodefense/geoswarm, xplane.
Annotate pdf is just excellent, a similar pc verison is xjournal.

there is pretty good note tool, I forgot the name, I can save the voice in it, it's free.

I am still waiting for my 3g version. My wife has the wifi version. really cool toy.

two ipads , one is 3G, on the upper left corner, you can see the AT&T sign for the left ipad. The right ipad has only wifi. The right most is an ipod. The ipad size is about 6 ipod touch size.

The right ipad has the belkin grip, I found this grip is a big help to protect the ipad and just feel good.

Previously I complaint the wide black border, but I just found out they are actually helpful when you hold because I have this tendency not to hold the screen inside(because I don't want to touch the screeen accidentally), just a little mind twist.

It's still a little heavy with one hand, so even apple's ad goes with the leg/knee support.

These are the apps I am using, just simple ones:
bloomberg is almost the same as the web page, not the pro workstation
qfolio is a nasdaq info
iAnnotate is a good pdf reader
sundry notes can take writing and voice, a quick note.
And dictionaries

now the annotation. I could use fingers, but a pen helps, I bought a pack of 3 pens

it's not that great, but still better than fingers

I tried to put a screen protector like this:

But it doesn't work well since there are annoying bubbles.
If someone can figure out this, this is a good business.
google this, I think we need some kind of special cleaner/fluid, or better screen product, not like the cheap one I bought, maybe, I don't know.

The annotation is great, but it triggers another problem, versioning. Once I put some notes, then it's a new version. Damn, I don't want to go down to cvs. Don't know how to handle this yet.

some games and tools for kids to learn chinese.

Overall, the software quality in this new area is still not as good as windows because the company size is still small for most softwares. The games are pretty much like 1990s in most cases. Some big companies are coming in, like ea, their quality is better. But given some time, this will become the better platform than pc.

linux_china made a good point, we don't need 3g version. we could use cell phones as wifi points. In my area, palm pre can do this(may need a hack, I don't know, but I know it works with one of my friend), I heard the android phone can do this too. So unless you really need it, ...

There are a lot of business opportunities:
1. port the game strategic conquest to here
2. ebooks
3. voice/gps/video/camera/typing all input integration
4. client/server, web, cloud, etc to consist new services

This is the "new pc" era that just likes the one I experienced in 1980s. Really great. One of my friends going back to china bought 6 of them, just a little crazy.

My neighbours are proposing a ipad party to exchange experience on ipad, more than an excuse to have a party, huh?

I am not sure what the string is for this browser in the log on the server side when we try to identify the browswer type, maybe the same as the itouch and iphone since the os is the same.
