for north america, coasts are much higher than the midwest. In the financial districts, they vary a lot too. In Manhattan, average salary+bonus in the front office is above 200K, around 170K in the middle, around 130K in the back and IT. Hedge funds pay better than banks, around 300K, but they are closer to business as well and thus need more specialized skills, and they work longer too.

Trading desks can make much more, I heard that in average, traders are making at least 2 times salary in bonus, so roughly about 500K. I heard one trader made 76 million dollars in bonus two years ago. There is no end of it. Smile. Quantitative analysts make about 300K if you know math, finance, statistics.

I think London is about the same as new york.

看来纽约的薪水真的是好高啊
不过偶知道 吃技术饭的跟那些销售、金融和trader是没的比的

搞IT的130K usd？嗯。。。我拿到个换算过去110k usd的offer，在一个穷乡僻壤，看来应该满足了。。。

惭愧啊，你们都开始接受国外的offer了，都成了某方面的专家了，偶却在为房子打工，谁给钱多就为谁干，，所干的产品和项目肤浅而乱，，打拼四五年，回头发现自己还不是精英，，

偶却在为房子打工，谁给钱多就为谁干 - This is just what I am doing now, Sad. get up early, it's 5am here now, come home late, my daughter tries to wait for me for the bedtime stories. sigh.
