This application includes a demo server and client program. The demo server program doesn't take care of any exception. It just tells you how to use the SimpleMultiChatServer class. You could write your own server launcher using the SimpleMultiChatServer class.

Usage:
1. Type the following command to launch the server program.
java -jar SimpleMultiChatServerDemo.jar portnumber

2. Type the following command to launch the client program. It's a swing-based UI.
java -jar SimpleMultiChatClientUI.jar

3. Input your nickname, server address and lucyk number (port number) then press "bla bla" button.

You could just double-click on the SimpleMultiChatClientUI.jar to launch the program if you are using Windows.

There are some commands for server administrator.
1. shutdown
Close all clients and shutdown the server.

2. list
List all clients, each one with a number.

3. remove [client number...]
Specify the client number listed by 'list' command and you could remove the specified client.

This program is written just for fun.... :lol: :lol: :lol:

What? Could not find the main class.Program will exit?

Although I only use the syntax of J2SE 1.4.2 to write all the application here, all the jar files are made up under J2SE 5.0 SDK (using eclipse). If you get a message such as “could not find the main class.Program will exit”, your sdk's version may be under J2SE 5.0. You could just update your sdk to J2SE 5.0 or recompile the sources and make up the jar file under your current environment
