The Jakarta Commons is a Jakarta subproject that creates and maintains independent packages unrelated to any other framework or product. The packages are a collection of components that serve small, useful purpose in their own right, and are usually server-centric.
very often to see the Jakarta Commons from open source project; however, the inadequate documentation put barrier for re-using and utiliting these helpful package. i believe this article does help as a 101 course of the package.
