Dear Java Community, In the area of eCommunity and eLearning, Open Source PHP products (PHPNuke, bbForum, eGroupWare, ...) are still the most chosen system to be deployed in the production environment. This is actually very sad, as we have a lot of good Open Source Java eCommunity and eLearning platforms (LPortal, OpenUSS, mvnForum, ...). Therefore I would like to ask you two questions: If you need to deploy an eCommunity or eLearning system (material download, discussion forum, mailinglist, chat, quizzes, linklist, wiki, blog, etc.): - what Open Source product would you take? And - what are your reasons? I feel that PHP products are still the most chosen system to be deployed in the production environment. Are those Java Server side products are too complicated to be deployed on the server? Thank you, Lofi.
