ooh,thank you! It's very interesting.

I take 3 hours to develop jute each day.Now i have finished the basic architecure and application framework. now i focus on org.jute.forum.* package.

I think Jute can use SMTP/POP3 to communicate with the mail server or just integrate apache James. I think James' performace is not good as the common mail server like Qmail etc. So if write a web-based mail client, The bottleneck may be right here.

I agree that james must slower than smtp server written in C, so I will also do my work in javamail with external smtp server. BTW, how many ppl in your team?

I am glad that a couple of programmers are interested in Jute. I think we can lanuch first release after 1.5 months.
