在Windows上可以用Jimi包，在Linux上可以用ImageMagic包（需安装module）

大家是否有更好pure java的方案，使得在Linux不用启动Xwindows就可以处理图片？

   Did you try the PJA toolkit from http://www.eteks.com ? we used it in Unix handling images when Xwindows doesn't get installed, and it works. Big SmileBig Smile

Thank you for your reply. ImageMagick(http://www.imagemagick.org/) can manipulate images without Xwindows also,but not pure java.

The PJA looks like from Germany,and sounds very good. I will try it right now.

Yes, PJA (Pure Java AWT) is a good solution. No X-windows at all.
and JDK 1.4 support headless image,also none X see: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/docs/guide/awt/AWTChanges.html#headless

I remember that there is fake xwindow deamon which can run and support java picture but cannot remember the software name ... sigh.
