Patterns and Pattern Languages are ways to describe best practices, good designs, and capture experience in a way that it is possible for others to reuse this experience.

Pattern Languages of Programming (PLoP) is different from other conferences. Its focus is improving the expression of patterns. Authors have the opportunity to have their pattern languages critically reviewed by fellow authors and to refine and extend their patterns with help from knowledgeable and sympathetic fellow pattern enthusiasts. This criticism is offered in the form of Writer's Workshops. This feedback allows the participants to improve their patterns to make them more useful and eventually publishable.

WeiterWay 发贴: 25 积分: 0	于 2004-11-29 18:21 PLoP不只是讨论设计模式了，涉及各个方面，似乎理论性强，不太实用，特别是Pattern Language到底是什么，现在还没一个统一的标准，众说纷纭，动不动就套用Christoph Alexandra的说法，软件行业都快成了建筑行业得“养子“了。还是GoF的设计模式比较适合我们这些开发人员。
