现在UML工具最来最多,而且表面上都有一定的IDE背景,
比如:ROSE 2003 和Eclipse,together6.0 和jbuilder x ,viso 2003和.net,PowerDesigner 和powerbuilder......
而且它们都有自已的uml工程扩展名.表面上UML语言是统一,实质上UML工具之多造成的混乱简直可以说是身处战国时代,不知学用什么UML最好.

关键在于思想，不是什么工具！
我认为必须先夺设计模式有一定的了解之后
才恩能够更好的应用uml.

IBM 的东东G4相关，UML正宗
和Eclipse，WSAD结和好，还有XDE开发也好，还有RUP是个AOP的东东，还是选这个好了！

Foodme不久签看完了从IBM得到的杂志，里面有介绍uml才知道自己
以前对uml的了解太肤浅。以后得重新学了。

感觉现在没有一个对于Java的实用工具。Together和IDE的结合很好，只可惜产生code的图太少了。如ActivityDiagram不能产生代码，另外需要的内存太多。rose需要需要loading很多东西才能实现对java的设计，不方便。RhapSody需要有自己的FrameWork，定制程度不够。UML2.0有很多功能，还是寄希望于Borland推出一个好的java解决方案啊。

我一直使用IntelliJ，觉得编写代码功能很强，刚好VP可以很好地和IntelliJ结合，而且界面很好，我觉得IntelliJ＋SDE-IJ不比JB＋together差，楼主们有空可以试用一下，VP的功能确实不错，就是知道的人太少，可以和其他IDE工具很好的整合。 http://www.visual-paradigm.com

偶用VP不能生成代码，不知道怎么回事，是不是因为试用版的缘故?

工具虽然重要，但更重要的是思想。十分同意mazalet的看法。uml的语法掌握得再好，工具用的再熟，如果不会设计，遇到实际问题还是不知如何下手的。
