或许很多朋友没有注意到tomcat native这个东西，我也是最近才注意到这个东东。

网上是这样介绍的：
应用了tomcat native技术之后，tomcat在跟操作系统级别的交互方面可以做得更好，并且它更像apache，可以更好地作为一台web server。

如果我们是win32/wind64的操作系统，我们可以下载tcnative-1-ipv4.dll或tcnative-1-ipv6.dll，并把这些文件放在%TOMCAT_HOME%/bin目录下就可以了，这样tomcat会有更好的performance。

不过，只找到1.1.14的windows下编译好的dll，看看这里：
http://tomcat.heanet.ie/native/1.1.14/binaries/win32/

选择相应的操作系统，对于windows操作系统比较方便，直接下载dll文件，然后丢到tomcat的bin即可，而对于linux，需要按照document进行配置跟编辑才能使用。

看到这样的描述：
试了一下tomcat的启动，没有使用tomcat native技术进行启动，系统启动需要3秒多。而将tomcat native放到bin目录之后，启动飞快，一秒种搞定！

Apache Tomcat Native library 是干什么的呢?

这是 Apache 为了提升 Tomcat 的性能搞的一套本地化 Socket, Thread, IO 组件也就是说它有高级 IO 功能, 操作系统级别的功能调用, 以及本地进程处理等等, 这些都能使 Tomcat 更像一个 Web Server(像Apache那样), 而不是只能用来解释JSP, 也就是说提升单独的 Tomcat 作为服务器的吞吐性能。

哈哈，我只是最近才注意这个。
不过，现在目光都放在glassfish上面了。

昨天回家在ubuntu上搞了一下，果然很快，启动一下真的只要1m左右。强悍。

刚刚看了一下，之前安装tomcat6里面已经内置了这个dll（1.1.10版本），更新了一下，不错～～
另外，找到了1.1.15版本，地址：
http://apache.siamwebhosting.com/tomcat/tomcat-connectors/native/1.1.15/binaries/win32/
