不是学习用,是个并发比较多的应用，希望对oracle较熟悉的朋友提个建议，谢谢！

平台选用linux7.1或者linux as 2.1!

9i，并发控制比8i好，不过对系统要求高一些。

db server配置还是很高的，4cpu，4G RAM。
但是我用我自己的pc机测试，感觉9i比8i慢不少啊，不知道是怎么回事？

执行select count(*) from test;
里面有5万多条记录，感觉明显比8i慢！

如果是对数据库的功能依赖不是很多的应用，8i足以，如果想用新功能，版本越新越好。

我在win2000下测试8i和9i，查询速度几乎差别在几十倍，怎么会差别这么大？
我硬件配置也不是很PIIII2.4G,512M RAM.

这是不正常的，应该看一下数据库的设置。
8.1.7在linux上安装时要求glibc 2.1, redhat 7.1以上需要把glibc版本降低才行，装完后运行没有什么问题。9i认证过的只有redhat AS 2.1和United Linux，其实安装的话，7.3，8.0，9.0应该都能够装上。

9i在aix平台上用rac的多，
要单机的o8就常用一点

8i在AS 2.1 上安装需要jre 1.1.8和glibc 2.1，还需要一些其他设置，metalink中可以查到，如果你有问题，可以再提问。

9i比較好，而且也支援Ansi SQL 92標準語法！

9I毕竟比较新 BUG还没有完全补全

9i的特性，对于你可以开发的扩展决对有好处，还有你提到的速度慢的
问题，是查询需要优化，建议你请一个dba吧。呵呵～～～
自我推荐一下，本人在oracle管理开发还可以，不过现在挺忙，我们
可以相互学习。
