相对概念，我觉得准确点应该叫做父类，基类等等，对应于前者，有子类，对应于后者，叫派生类

Why don't you read bluecrystal's reply?
superclass == parent class == base class
subclass == child class == derived class

http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/information/glossary.html#superclass
superclass
A class from which a particular class is derived, perhaps with one or more classes in between.

Note that a class could both be a subclass and a superclass.
"就是没有子类或派生类的类"或"最上最上最上的那个类"都是一派胡言

由super直译,叫父类比较合适.
